Madison Utendahl is a multi-hyphenate.
A creative director, writer, and strategist, Madison Utendahl is a two-time Webby Award winner and Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree. She founded Utendahl Creative, the award-winning agency behind iconic brand identities for cultural figures like Law Roach, Lena Dunham, Chris Paul, Scarlett Johansson, and John Legend. Over five years, the agency became known for emotionally intelligent, culturally resonant storytelling that helped redefine how brands connect with the world.
Her latest chapter is Utendahl Consulting—a solo, back-to-basics creative practice where she partners directly with founders to build brands that are intentional, human, and built to last.
She is also the creator and writer of BURNT, a cultural platform exploring burnout not as a trend, but as a generational identity crisis. Rooted in her own reckoning after years behind some of the biggest cultural successes, BURNT confronts the emotional and economic toll of hustle culture and invites a radical redefinition of ambition, success, and self-worth. What began as a personal unraveling became a blueprint for rebuilding—and reshaped everything from how Madison leads, to how she builds, to how she lives. Today, she’s committed to changing how creative work happens—from leadership to policy to process.
Madison lives in New York City and is a proud third-generation New Yorker.
